Edward Raymond Sanchez, 77, went to be with the Lord on March 25, 2024. He was born October 16, 1946 to parents, Edward and Frances Sanchez who precede him in death along with grandson, Aiden John Martinez; brother-in-law Michael Porter; mother and father-in-law Marjorie and Marvin Porter; niece, Stephanie Sanchez and sister-in-law, Rita Sanchez.
Edward graduated from Pueblo Catholic High and went on to receive his bachelors at Southern Colorado State College SCSC. While at SCSC he ran track and held a record there for a very long time.
Throughout this life he worked as a salesman at Sears for many years and a treatment operator at the Board of Water Works. He also was employed at the Power Company and Spanish Peaks
Edward was also a strong Catholic who loved his faith and had a great devotion to the Blessed Mother and St. Joseph. He prayed the rosary every day.
As a strong family man, Edward always put his family first. He shared his love, faith, and wisdom with his family of 3 generations.
Edward leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife of 55 ½ years Nancy; his children Debbie Sanchez, Michael Sanchez, Karen Beck, Christina (Richard) Werner, Nancy (Martin) Beltran, Charlotte (Leandro) Martinez, Julie Sanchez, Joseph Sanchez, Robert (Brittni) Sanchez, William Sanchez; 33 grandchildren, Halie, Gabrielle, Eva Dunich; Ryan (Tara) Dalton & Emily, Mary, Joshua Sanchez; Joseph, Anna and Thomas Beck; Holly, Samuel and Nicholas Werner; Christopher (Jayden), Benjamin, Jonathan, Jack, Luke, Sophia, Martin, Frankie, Julia, and Cecilia Beltran; Ireland, Liam & Alice Martinez; James, Jeffrey, Justin and Joseph Garcia; Lennox, Sloan and Ledger Sanchez; 4 Great Granddaughters, Maezie and Lila Dalton; Gracie and Adalyn Beltran; five siblings, Charlie (Angelina) Sanchez, Patricia (Art) Martinez, Richard (Vernal) Sanchez, Gregory Sanchez & Nancy (Gary) Hill; brother-in-law Bill (Karen) Porter; sister-in-law’s, Patty (Steve) Stiesmeyer, Marjorie (Pat) Mason and Betsy Porter; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Rosary will take place April 1, 2024 at 9:30 am with Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow at 10 a.m. Both at the Shrine of St Therese.
